UP
The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement
We rebranded Adult Cerebral Palsy Hub to “UP – The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement”, creating a powerful new identity and digital presence to amplify their advocacy for the 130,000 UK adults with cerebral palsy who face a critical gap in healthcare support after childhood.
Learn more about the projectContext
Cerebral palsy affects 130,000 adults in the UK, resulting from brain injury before, during, or after birth. While severity varies, all people with CP experience disordered movement, and some face additional challenges with sight, hearing, and cognition.
Despite being a lifelong condition that degenerates over time, adult CP patients lose access to paediatric services at age 18 and enter a healthcare system with minimal specialised support, co-ordination, or knowledge of their condition.
The Challenge
Emma Livingstone, an adult with CP, and physiotherapist Miriam Creeger founded Adult Cerebral Palsy Hub to address the severe gap in healthcare provision. After five years of operation, they needed to elevate their organisation’s profile and perceived authority to effectively campaign for adequate health services.
The charity needed a stronger platform to advocate for preventative care that could reduce both unnecessary suffering and long-term NHS treatment costs.
Our solution
We developed a comprehensive rebrand, creating the new name “UP – The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement” and a distinctive new visual identity. This refreshed brand was implemented across all communication channels, including a new website that serves as the foundation of their advocacy work.
The rebrand provides the organisation with a more impactful platform to increase visibility, credibility, and influence as they work to transform healthcare provision for adults with cerebral palsy throughout the UK.
Close
"I think to my younger self my advice would be, self-acceptance will come eventually: I wouldn’t have such an uncomfortable relationship with my CP forever."

Everyday
Absurdities
The run up to the election presenting an important window of opportunity for charities such as our client UP – the Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement, to maximise their social impact.
We supported them to lobby all the political parties to sign up to the Cerebral Palsy Manifesto, prescribing adequate treatment that recognises Cerebral Palsy as a lifelong condition. As part of this, our social media campaign highlighted the everyday absurdities that adults with Cerebral Palsy have to face.
#GPsforCP
Cerebral palsy (CP) affects around 130,000 adults in the UK, yet routine health checks for this community are not guaranteed. If you’re over 50, access depends entirely on whether your GP offers them. If you’re under 50, they’re not available at all.
This campaign during CP Awareness Month, demanded annual health checks for ALL adults with CP, regardless of age. #GPsForCP
